NADA Miami 2020: Patricia Ayres, Lisa Ivory

December 1 - 5, 2020

Fragment Gallery will participate in the NADA Miami international art fair (December 1-5), presenting two new artists: Patricia Ayres from the USA and a British artist Lisa Ivory.

Ayres’ practice relates to stories of isolation, separation, and confinement. She analyzes the mechanisms of physical and psychological control and restricts the body from the penal and organized religion systems. Ayres is a participant of prestigious art residencies: Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, The Studios at MASS MoCA (2019), etc. In 2020, she received the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship grant. During the NADA Miami art fair, Ayres’ works will be on display at the South Congregational Church in Brooklyn, a permanent space of New York’s Residency Unlimited. Lisa Ivory’s paintings will be exhibited at the Raster Gallery in Warsaw. In her works, the artist creates fantasy worlds of mythical creatures. Ivory’s paintings are influenced by the art of Francisco Goya and Honore Daumier. According to the artist, savage creatures from her paintings illustrate wild and bestial traits that lurk within every human being.

The fair will feature a total of 96 international galleries from 44 cities. This year the event will be held both offline and online. The NADA Miami will simultaneously occur at venues in different cities  – in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Warsaw, and Riga.

The Fragment Gallery has been a member of NADA (The New Art Dealers Alliance) since 2020.
