Young-jun Tak tries to investigate some of the socio-cultural and psychological mechanisms that are part of shaping certain belief systems. He often raises questions about Christian fanaticism of today and its fear for bodily pleasures and diversity within our contemporary culture.
His work was featured in exhibitions at the Hall Art Foundation, Schloss Derneburg Museum, and the Koenig Berlin (St. Agnes). Tak has also participated in two biennials: Istanbul Biennial in 2017 and 11th Berlin Biennale in 2020. Young-Jun Tak is mostly exhibited in Germany, but had exhibitions in South Korea and Turkey.
